This research work is called Nursing care safety in surgical patients of the surgical center of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Hospital, Quevedo city. Period 2018. Its objective is to establish the Safety of Nursing care in surgical patients of the surgical center. According to the WHO, the safety of surgical patients has been a fundamental element in health care worldwide. Given the progressive incidence of complications attributable to surgical interventions that depend on the complexity of the operation and the hospital environment. In our country surgical problems have been established as the main causes of morbidity, taking into account the aforementioned, we decided to carry out our research in the Sacred Heart of Jesus Hospital where the influx of a large number of surgical interventions has been identified, many of them of them they enter by emergency what with leads to a series of breaches in the norms of security of the patient, since the urgency of the time influences in that some steps are avoided for the correct handling of the patient. In the present investigation, the diagnostic survey carried out on the nursing staff and the observation was applied as a data collection instrument in order to determine the degree of knowledge and safety application of the patient's care. With field design and descriptive. By means of which it has been possible to identify a medium level of knowledge and a low application of safety measures in the surgical patient, as well as a series of nursing actions for the safety of the surgical patient, which are not performed correctly in the surgical center of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Hospital. The training is carried out with the Nursing Care Safety Guide for surgical patients in the surgical center service, in order to have a trained staff in this area. El presente trabajo de investigación que se denomina Seguridad del cuidado de Enfermería en pacientes quirúrgicos del centro quirúrgico del Hospital Sagrado Corazón de Jesús, ciudad Quevedo. Periodo 2018. Tiene como objetivo establecer la Seguridad del cuidado de Enfermería en pacientes quirúrgicos del centro quirúrgico. Según la OMS la seguridad del paciente quirúrgico viene siendo un elemento fundamental en la asistencia sanitaria a nivel mundial. Dada la progresiva incidencia de complicaciones atribuibles a las intervenciones quirúrgicas que dependen de la complejidad de la operación y el entorno hospitalario. En nuestro país los problemas quirúrgicos se han establecido como las principales causas de morbilidad, tomando en cuenta lo antes mencionado, decidimos realizar nuestra investigación en el Hospital Sagrado Corazón de Jesús en donde se ha identificado la afluencia de un gran número de intervenciones quirúrgicas, muchas de ellas ingresan por emergencia lo que con lleva a una serie de incumplimientos en las normas de seguridad del paciente, ya que la premura del tiempo influye en que se obvien algunos pasos para el correcto manejo del paciente. En la presente investigación se aplicó como instrumento de recolección de datos la encuesta diagnostica realizada al personal de enfermería y la observación con el fin de determinar el grado de conocimiento y aplicación de seguridad del cuidado del paciente. Con diseño de campo y descriptiva. Por medio de lo cual se ha podido identificar un nivel de conocimiento medio y una baja aplicación de medidas de seguridad en el paciente quirúrgico, así como una serie de acciones de Enfermería para la seguridad el paciente quirúrgico, que no son realizadas de forma correcta en el centro quirúrgico del Hospital Sagrado Corazón de Jesús. Se realiza la capacitación con la Guía de seguridad del cuidado de Enfermería en pacientes quirúrgico en el servicio de centro quirúrgico, para de esta manera contar con un personal capacitado en esta área.
