La tecnología y la educación son dos elementos que en los últimos años se han conjugado para que el aprendizaje se efectúe a partir de la virtualidad. Uno de los aspectos que ha fomentado al crecimiento de las tecnologías en la educación es la pandemia del Covid 19. Sin embargo, antes de ello, el manejo de las herramientas tecnológicas ya era indispensable para ciertas generaciones, en este caso, los nativos digitales. Esta generación tiene a la tecnología como algo inherente a ellos y a lo cual están acostumbrados. No obstante, puede haber casos de individuos que no manejen por completo estas nuevas tecnologías y les cueste adaptarse a esta nueva forma de educación virtual que está surgiendo, recalcando lo que es la alfabetización digital. Para ello, se planteó un estudio en los niños y niñas de 12 años de la Unidad Educativa Fiscal Víctor Manuel Peñaherrera y conocer a través de su experiencia, cómo es su manejo de la tecnología en el ambiente educativo que se está viviendo actualmente, es decir, la educación virtual. En el acercamiento a este grupo se pudo conocer el buen manejo de redes sociales, plataformas de videoconferencias y comunicación que mantienen gracias a las nuevas tecnologías, tanto así que muchos ya se han vuelto creadores de contenido en los diferentes sitios web o aplicaciones que están a su alcance, puesto que se indica que la mayoría tiene un dispositivo tecnológico para su uso individual. Así, los nativos digitales se ven diestros en estas plataformas y se puede comprobar cómo la tecnología no solo se presenta en su educación, sino ya en su diario vivir.
Technology and education are two elements that in recent years have been combined so that learning takes place from virtuality. One of the aspects that has fostered the growth of technologies in education is the Covid 19 pandemic, however, before that, the management of technological tools was already essential for certain generations, in this case, digital natives. This generation has technology as something inherent to them and to which they are accustomed. However, there may be cases of individuals who do not fully handle these new technologies and find it difficult to adapt to this new form of virtual education that is emerging, emphasizing what digital literacy is. For this, a study was proposed in the 12-year-old boys and girls of the Víctor Manuel Peñaherrera Fiscal Education Unit and to be able to know how their handling of technology is in the educational environment they are currently living, that is, virtual education. In the approach to this group, it was possible to know the good management of social networks, videoconference platforms and communication that they maintain thanks to new technologies, so much so that many have already become content creators in the different websites or applications that are available. its scope, since it is indicated that most have a technological device for their individual use. Thus, digital natives are skilled in these platforms and it can be seen how technology is not only presented in their education, but already in their daily lives.
