Textos escolares, ilustraciones y estereotipos étnicos encontrados en el texto de CCSS de la editorial Prolipa

Los estereotipos étnicos son ideas preconcebidas o aceptadas dirigidas a un grupo determinada de personas en función de su etnia o procedencia, vestimenta, actividades y roles que desempeñan en la sociedad, los mismo que se han encontrado dentro del libro de texto de la editorial “Prolipa”, que en determinada circunstancias pueden reproducirse de manera inconsciente y alimentar la presencia de este tipo de marginación en la sociedad. El objetivo general de este trabajo consiste en analizar las ilustraciones del libro de CCSS del grupo Prolipa del 4to año de EGB y su relación con la producción de estereotipos étnicos. La metodología fue la mixta, en la cual se realizó el conteo de imágenes (cuantitativo), para así encontrar la recurrencia de las actividades que realizan las personas o personajes de las ilustraciones y el análisis de las imágenes dentro del texto educativo (cualitativo); la técnica empleada fue la descripción de las imágenes y de instrumento fue la matriz de recolección de dato. Además, se realizó una búsqueda teórica de cada uno de los descriptores (textos escolares, ilustraciones y estereotipos étnicos). Los resultados que se obtuvieron fueron que las comunidades indígenas y montubias son relegadas a actividades productivas secundarias y terciarias, a la vez que solo están destinadas a vivir en el campo, mientras que, las personas blancas se desenvuelven en actividades escolares y de ciudad.
Ethnic stereotypes are preconceived, or accepted ideas directed at a specific group of people based on their skin color, clothing, activities, and roles they play in society, the same ones that have been found in the textbook of the publishing house “Prolipa”, Which in certain circumstances can reproduce unconsciously and feed the presence of this type of marginalization in society. The general objective is to analyze the illustrations in the CCSS book of the Prolipa group of the 4th year of EGB and its relationship with the production of ethnic stereotypes. The one followed to achieve this objective was used the mixed method, in which the counting of images (quantitative) and the analysis of the images within the educational text (qualitative) were carried out, all in order to demonstrate the existence of ethnic stereotypes; The technique used was the description of the images and the instrument of the data collection matrix, then it was carried out with a theoretical search of each of the descriptors (school texts, illustrations and ethnic stereotypes) to later face it with the results of the investigation. The results that were obtained were that the indigenous and coastal people Montubia communities are relegated to secondary and tertiary productive activities, while they are only destined to live in the countryside.
