The following work shows the process of commodification of Ecuadorian soccer players in this sport. It is important to show how is the treatment that the player receive when viewed as a product in the global football market and what are the improvements made to the human aspect. The evolution of this sport worldwide has made the physical and mental pressure increase for the players, but has also made the economic and human treatment will improve in many ways. Yet there are inequalities, there are managers that help athletes during his career for success, while there are others who seek only their benefit and see the player only as a commodity. This work also discusses the importance of human treatment of the football player, not forgetting that they are human beings and then high performance athletes. For the realization of this work were interviewed people involved in football as football players, former football players, managers, journalists, economists and many more
En el siguiente trabajo de titulación, podrán evidenciar la realidad del proceso de mercantilización del jugador de fútbol ecuatoriano dentro de este deporte. Es importante visibilizar la evolución del trato hacia el jugador dentro del mercado futbolístico global y cuales son las mejoras en el aspecto humano que se han realizado, además de todo lo que queda por hacer. La evolución de este deporte a nivel mundial ha hecho que la presión física y mental aumente para el jugador, aunque el trato económico y humano ha mejorado en muchos aspectos. Aun así, existen desigualdades: algunos empresarios ayudan sus clientes deportistas durante su carrera para lograr el éxito, mientras que otros buscan solo su beneficio y ven al jugador únicamente como una mercancía. Este trabajo de titulación también resalta la importancia de humanizar el trato hacía el jugador de fútbol, y no olvidar que ellos son seres humanos antes que deportistas de alto rendimiento. Para la realización de este trabajo se entrevistaron a personas involucradas en el fútbol como jugadores de fútbol, ex jugadores de fútbol, directivos, periodistas, economistas entre muchos más.
