Description

This Project named “Upgrade of Hydro Mechanic Governors” explains the basic principles of operation for mechanic Governors since the first patented in 1870, and the most important improvements until the creation of the Digital Electronic Governors. Woodward Governor Company has been the leader in the development of Governors through history, creating unique innovations and improvements in all speed control systems. Woodward has facilities in almost all countries with trained personnel in this type of projects, but unfortunately this information has not been taught at school or universities. This document has the intention of getting people and institutions interested in studying and teaching these technologies.
Este proyecto denominado “Modernización de Reguladores de velocidad Hidro – Mecánicos” explica los principios básicos de operación de los Reguladores de Velocidad Mecánicos desde su origen en 1870, las mejoras que se han ido implementando hasta llegar a los Reguladores de Velocidad Electrónicos Digitales. La empresa Woodward Governor Company ha liderado la tecnología de la regulación de velocidad a través de sus nuevas innovaciones y mejoras a los sistemas de control de velocidad. Woodward tiene departamentos capacitados en este tipo de proyectos, pero no han sido difundidos a ningún nivel académico, por lo que este documento está enfocado a despertar el interés en estudiantes e instituciones en incorporar esta información en el material de estudio de las áreas relacionadas a la materia.
