Description

The idea of a Community Center in Nayón, raises a central space covering several activities, providing services that break barriers in the segregation seen in the parish. These barriers have been patchy and heterogeneous growth of the city to the outsides of Quito, causing some sites to grow more on one side than the other, as well as the social classes. Due to the great migration that it has spotted the last few years, parish is strongly marked by different social conditions, from families of upper class who works in Quito or Cumbaya and only lives in Nayon, to families of lower social classes who live and work by hand at the head of the parish. I mean a contrast between traditional Nayon (header parish) and a suburban Nayon (newcomers). Is therefore decided to consider a space with new air but that suits without giving up the tradition, with a flexible program that complements with recreation. The objective is to raise a space for sale, meeting, union and that serve as an incentive for the local market of flowers creating a link between the traditional Nayon (garden of Quito) with the new habitants, in the same way by linking architecture with nature. In the program there should be a large space where the flowers that are the main attraction of Nayon, with spaces of greenhouse, like sales and information sites are promoted. Along with a recreation center that is a space of training or "seedlings" for extreme sports that take place in the streams, in this way potentiate and develop expertise in this new attraction. Being a recreational center comes with a film that captures the attention of people of different ages. Finally, take advantage of the landscape and characteristics of Nayón Valley to propose open sites where you can see both Nayon resources landscape and the view towards the Valley. Along with a restaurant and gastronomic premises that generate more economic and social activity within the project. Additionally housing allowing coexistence, without giving up the privacy that requires.

Estas barreras se han producido por el crecimiento desigual y heterogéneo de la ciudad hacia las periferias de Quito, lo que provoca que algunos sitios crezcan más en un lado que en el otro, al igual que las clases sociales. Debido a la gran migración que se ha divisado los últimos años, la parroquia se ve fuertemente marcada por diferentes condiciones sociales, desde familias de clase alta que trabaja en Quito o Cumbayá y solo vive en Nayón, hasta familias de clases sociales bajas que viven y trabajan artesanalmente en la cabecera parroquial. Me refiero a un contraste entre Nayón tradicional (cabecera parroquia) y un Nayón suburbano (nuevos habitantes). Por lo tanto, se decide plantear un espacio con aire nuevo pero que se adapte sin renunciar a la tradición, con un programa flexible que complemente puestos de ventas con aéreas abiertas y de esparcimiento. El objetivo es plantear un espacio de venta, reunión, unión y que sirva como un incentivo, para el mercado local de flores creando un vínculo entre el Nayón tradicional (El jardín de Quito) con los nuevos habitantes, de igual manera vinculando la arquitectura con la naturaleza. En el programa debe existir un gran espacio donde se promocionen las flores que son el mayor atractivo de Nayón, con espacios tanto de invernadero, como ventas y sitios de información. Junto con un centro de recreación que sea un espacio de entrenamiento o “semillero” para los deportes extremos que se realizan en las quebradas, de esta manera potencializar y especializarse en esta nueva atracción. Al ser un centro recreacional se complementa con un cine que capture la atención de gente de diferentes edades. Finalmente, aprovechar el paisaje y las características del valle de Nayón para proponer sitios abiertos donde se pueda apreciar tanto el paisaje de los recursos de Nayón como la vista hacia el valle. Junto con un restaurante y locales gastronómicos que genere más actividad tanto económica como social dentro del proyecto. Adicionalmente vivienda que permita una coexistencia, sin renunciar a la privacidad que requiere.
