Rendimiento del sistema Alcatel 9800 en la comunidad de Cangahua

As years keep going by, the era of telecommunications has been constantly developing and, little by little, telecommunication services have reached places once isolated from the big hubs. In our country, Ecuador, there are many communities located far from the big cities. One of them is Cangahua, an isolated small village located two hours from the capital, Quito. Because of Cangahua’s geographic characteristics, this place has not grown and thrived as fast as the big cities, especially in the field of new technologies, making it harder for the Cangahua population to obtain telecommunication services. But this was until now. In order to improve this situation, the implementation of the Alcatel 9800 System has been proposed to provide the Cangahua community with access to fixed telephony, taking advantage of the System’s tools and quality standards for long distance communication. In order to carry out this project, it was necessary to implement the appropriate infrastructure in the village, which consisted of a radio repeater for point-tomultipoint communication. By using a 12-meter aluminum antenna, it was possible to obtain the precise frequency for telecommunication within the village. The range utilized was 75-70 dB (decibels). The coverage obtained by the Alcatel 9800 System has been of great help for all the Cangahua community. An important progress in the community’s social and economic development is certainly foreseeable, which will result in costs decrease and a faster response time for the village inhabitants.
Con el transcurrir de los años la era de las telecomunicaciones han ido evolucionando y cada vez se extienden a lugares donde antes eran imposible tener comunicación. En el país existen comunidades fuera de las ciudades grandes, una de ellas es Cangahua ubicada a dos horas de distancia del Distrito Metropolitano de Quito. Su relieve geográfico ha hecho de esta comunidad que se retrase en el avance de nuevas tecnologías, para entregar servicio de comunicación que hasta ahora habían sido negados a la comunidad de Cangahua, por lo que se ha propuesto hacer uso del sistema Alcatel 9800 brindando a la comunidad finalmente el acceso a la telefonía fija, utilizando todas las herramientas que posee este sistema así como las normas y estándares que se necesitan para la transmisión a largas distancias. Para la realización de este proyecto fue necesario implementar una infraestructura suficiente en la comunidad para que se utilice una repetidora de enlace de radio para la comunicación de punto a multipunto. Utilizando una torre de 12m.de altura con una antena de aluminio, se logró conseguir la frecuencia exacta para la comunicación en la comunidad, utilizando un rango de 75-70 db. (Decibelios). La cobertura que se logró obtener del sistema Alcatel 9800 ha sido de gran ayuda para la comunidad, se prevé un importante avance en su desarrollo social, económico, disminuyendo costos y tiempo de respuestas de los comuneros.
