TREATMENT OF CERVICAL SYNDROME The cervical syndrome consists of a benign and usually self-limiting process, but they cause very high disability and absenteeism figures. The treatment will depend on the type of pain, that is, if it is nociceptive, which is the most frequent, neuropathic or mixed. The aim of the treatment is to calm the pain, individualize the dose of medication to avoid adverse effects and categorize the cervical dysfunctionality to be able to take the patient from the conservative medication treatment to the invasive treatment, because the prognosis of cervicalgia usually resolves in days or weeks , but it can recur or become chronic. TEMA: TRATAMIENTO DE SINDROME CERVICAL El síndrome cervical consiste en un proceso benigno y habitualmente autolimitado, pero provocan cifras muy altas de incapacidad y ausentismo laboral. El tratamiento dependerá del tipo de dolor, es decir si es nociceptivo que es el más frecuente, neuropático o mixto. El objetivo del tratamiento debe calmar el dolor, individualizar la dosis de medicación para evitar efectos adversos y categorizar la disfuncionalidad cervical para poder llevar al paciente desde el tratamiento medicamentoso conservador al tratamiento invasivo, pues el pronóstico de la cervicalgia habitualmente se resuelve en días o semanas, pero puede recurrir o convertirse en crónico.
