Description

Coloniality, as inscribed in power structures, is also manifested in sexual access, in the collective authority in the world of work, in the dynamics of subjectivity/intersubjectivity, and the production of knowledge. These colonial structures allow the term "woman" pass to represent bourgeois, heterosexual, and white females to exist a vacuum in relation to the women of different ethnic groups, cultures, and social classes. Thus the conception of women and their development in the society has changed, as the acquisition of a job has allowed a certain freedom, but still remains the oppression of the housework, overloading of responsibilities and pleasing to the Patriarchate. Similarly, the way of dressing is influenced by the hegemonic male gaze, that dictate the ways in which women's dress to go to any place and their respective definition based on that.
La colonialidad, como fenómeno inscrito en estructuras de poder, se manifiesta también en el acceso sexual, en la autoridad colectiva, en el mundo del trabajo, en las dinámicas de subjetividad/intersubjetividad, y en la producción de conocimientos. Estas estructuras coloniales permiten que el término "mujer" pase a representar a las hembras burguesas, blancas y heterosexuales, existiendo un vacío en relación a las mujeres de diferentes etnias, culturas, y clases sociales. Así la concepción de mujer y su desarrollo en la sociedad ha cambiado, pues la adquisición de un trabajo le ha permitido una cierta libertad, pero todavía se conserva la opresión de las labores domésticas, sobrecargándola de responsabilidades y complaciendo al patriarcado. De igual manera, la forma de vestir está influenciada por la mirada masculina hegemónica, que dictaminan las formas en que las mujeres se visten para ir a cualquier lugar y su respectiva definición a partir de ello.
