This undergraduate research paper is based on a deepest analysis to the Ecuadorian press and how its influence could create a political destabilization. The study was based in a specific case, the government of the Ex- president Abdalá Bucaram Ortiz, the facts, opinions and history in which this government created a political crises and change the history in the country. The facts which were primary and predominant, linked to the information given by the press, in the presidential period of Abdalá Bucaram, were crucial to create a democratic and political crisis in Ecuador, the information given by the press have been created feeling thru the Ecuadorian society, the same which created the hatred in the population. The press was auto-denominated as a social actor, which legitimize the efforts to throw out the government. This was the principal fact to get the democracy in crisis, therefore, in this study I shown facts, analyzed by qualitative methods, analyzed in thru the press, in a period of six months in Ecuador in 1997.
El siguiente trabajo investigativo, se basa en un profundo análisis hacia la prensa escrita en el periodo presidencial de Abdala Bucaram Ortiz, hechos, sucesos y opiniones, que marcaron la historia del país. Los cuales fueron primordiales y predominantes para que la prensa se convierta y se auto- denomine un actor social, que instigó a que la colectividad ecuatoriana cree un sentimiento anti-gobiernista de su líder. Sentimiento que creó un resquebrajamiento de la democracia en el país en el año 1997. Además, se presentan los sucesos y hechos fundamentales que trajeron consigo la desestabilización democrática del país. Del mismo modo, el análisis a la prensa escrita se enfoca en un análisis de tipo cualitativo, acerca de las noticias impresas que causaron conmoción nacional, en los seis meses que duro el periodo presidencial.
