Description

Affection is the theme of this project which will be exteriorized through the exploration of the familiar relations. My gravity centre is my family, which is why this investigation is based on them; this assemblage, made by my parents, grandparents and sisters explain how through action art, the exchange of roles between me and participant, and the loss of anonymity, a family goes from being the “case of study” of this investigation, to being real, living and expressive people. On the other side they will demonstrate that affection is something you give and get, turning the passive side into the active one and vice versa. This project is made of four action pieces that through the use of symbols, colors and various elements, the relationship I have with myself, the relationship parents-me, grandparents-me, sisters-me and finally a closing event focused on the whole family relationship is represented. It is how the meaning of affection will be exteriorized between the previously mentioned group of people, leaving a record of the events in photographs, videos and installation pieces that were part of the different actions.
El afecto es el tema central del proyecto presentado a continuación, el cual, por medio de la exploración de mi vida intrafamiliar busco maneras de exteriorizar estas relaciones afectivas. La familia, es el centro de gravedad de mi mundo y sobre quienes esta investigación se ha realizado. Este eje, conformado por padres, abuelos y hermanas explora cómo por medio del arte de acción, el intercambio de roles entre los participantes y yo, y la pérdida del anonimato, una familia pasa de ser un objeto de estudio a ser personas reales, vivas y expresivas; y a su vez, demostrar que el afecto, así como se da, se recibe, volviendo seres pasivos en activos y viceversa. El proyecto está conformado de cuatro acciones artísticas que por medio de símbolos, colores y elementos varios buscan representar la relación que tengo conmigo misma, la relación padres-yo, abuelos-yo, hermanas-yo y finalmente un evento complementario de cierre que explora por medio del diálogo la relación que existe entre todos como familia. De esta forma, se logrará exteriorizar el significado del afecto entre un grupo determinado de personas, dejando como registros de la acción desde fotografías, hasta videos y piezas instalativas que fueron parte de las distintas acciones.
