China ¿oportunidad para países en vías de desarrollo o neocolonialismo? lecciones para América Latina y Ecuador

The purpose of this study is to analyze the major influence that China and its current economic growth would have on developing countries, especially in Latin America and particularly in Ecuador. First of all, it examines the existing commercial relationship with some African countries in order to acquire a sense of the strategy that China has been establishing and the patterns that determine and expose it. The purpose is to try to establish how much benefit has resulted from the relationship between Africa and China and in that way making it possible to link and compare cases between Africa and Latin America so that it could enable us to foresee the scenery and the strategies that Latin America would need to prepare to make this a truly advantageous experience to all parties involved and not just for the Asian country aiming to become the most powerful economy in the world. China’s economic growth is an important issue in the global economy and for this reason it becomes imperative to analyze what are the effects of it on the developing countries and whether these commercial relations are a favorable aspect for all parties involved in order to reach development or on the contrary are just counterproductive because of the neo colonialist tinges resulting in a possible dependence in which the story repeats itself and the new actor remains the only change. Strengthening commercial and political relations with the Asian giant means a lot of opportunities to Ecuador, but also posse a great challenge since the asymmetry between the two sides is large, which is why an appropriate approach and implementation of strategies is extremely important.
El siguiente trabajo tiene como finalidad analizar la gran influencia que China y su despunte económico actual podría tener a futuro en América Latina y más concretamente en Ecuador. Se examina primero brevemente la relación comercial existente con ciertos países del continente africano, con el fin de adquirir una noción de la estrategia que el país asiático ha ido estableciendo y las características que la determinan. El fin es tratar de establecer que tan beneficiosas han resultado estas relaciones para de esa manera poder vincular y comparar los casos africanos con América Latina y así vislumbrar el escenario y las estrategias que deberemos preparar para que una relación comercial y política con el país asiático resulte en una experiencia provechosa para todas las partes involucradas y no se transforme solo en una estrategia de quien apunta a convertirse en la economía más poderosa a nivel mundial. El crecimiento económico chino es un tema trascendental en la economía mundial y es por esta razón que se vuelve imperativo analizar cuáles serán los efectos que esto tendría en los países en vías de desarrollo de América Latina. Mediante el análisis se podrá vislumbrar que tan beneficioso resultaría una relación entre ambas regiones y si esta podría ser determinante para el tan anhelado desarrollo o si simplemente sería contraproducente por su matiz neo colonialista resultando en una posible dependencia en la cual la historia continuaría siendo la misma pero con un nuevo actor principal. El hecho de fortalecer las relaciones comerciales y políticas con el gigante asiático significa para Ecuador una serie de oportunidades pero al mismo tiempo representa un gran desafío ya que la asimetría existente entre ambas partes es grande, razón por la cual el planteamiento y ejecución de estrategias apropiadas es sumamente importante.
