Description

The Resort Pululahua poses strengthen the identity of a place with unique natural features. In this case Geo botanical Pululahua Reserve, a nature reserve located in the interior of a crater inhabited by a farming community. The project takes advantage of the topography, climate and visual clearly evidenced in the implanted site so that generate a harmonious integration between the building and the place, at one time, and the user is fundamental to the development of the project. The land on which the proposal is implemented is currently occupied by a hotel, which contains scattered buildings with equipment located on the crater rim of the volcano, located approximately 3400 meters altitude, with a privileged view both within the crater, as to the city in the area of the Equator, and with a viewpoint from which part the main pedestrian path into the crater. The new proposal seeks to integrate existing uses and activities on the ground above by lifting a new building whose volumes split from the main axes marked by the edge of the crater, creating open spaces integrated commercial and educational use to a new hotel the which takes full advantage of the topography of the land in terms of the spatial arrangement of the project and the location of the rooms and direction for the optimization of the visual from the same to various points of the natural environment of the reserve.
El Centro Turístico Pululahua plantea reforzar la identidad de un lugar con características naturales únicas. En este caso la Reserva Geobotánica Pululahua, una reserva natural localizada en el interior de un cráter habitado por una comunidad agrícola. El proyecto aprovecha las condiciones topográficas, clima y visuales claramente evidenciadas en el sitio implantándose de tal forma que genere una integración armónica entre el edificio y el lugar, a la vez, siendo el usuario el elemento fundamental para el desarrollo del proyecto. El terreno en donde se implanta la propuesta esta actualmente ocupado por un hotel, el cual contiene edificaciones con equipamientos dispersos situados al borde del cráter del volcán, ubicado aproximadamente a 3.400 metros de altitud, con una vista privilegiada tanto hacia el interior del cráter, como hacia la ciudad en el sector de la Mitad del Mundo, además junto a un mirador del cual parte el sendero peatonal principal hacia el interior del cráter. La nueva propuesta busca integrar los usos y actividades existentes en el terreno antes mencionado mediante el levantamiento de una nueva edificación cuya volumetría parta desde los ejes principales marcados por el borde del cráter, generando espacios abiertos de uso comercial y educativo integrados a un nuevo hotel el cual aprovecha al máximo las condiciones topográficas del terreno en cuanto a la disposición espacial del proyecto como para la ubicación de las habitaciones y dirección para el máximo aprovechamiento de las visuales desde las mismas hacia los distintos puntos del entorno natural de la reserva.
