Caracterización de dos poblaciones segregantes de Tomate de Arbol (Solanum betaceum) mediante marcadores moleculares AFLP

Description: The present study determines the level of genetic diversity between two segregating populations, resulting from crosses between S. betaceum var. amarilla and S. betaceum var. roja X S. uniloba with their respective parentals. These crosses are intended to establish whether it is possible for S. uniloba to provide the genetic variability needed to these hybrids, in order to increase the possibility of inheritance of the anthracnose resistance characteristic. The technique used for this investigation was AFLP (Amplified Fragment Length Polymorphism).
El presente trabajo determina el nivel de diversidad genética entre dos poblaciones segregantes, producto de los cruces entre S. betaceum var. amarilla y S. betaceum var. roja X S. uniloba, y sus respectivos parentales. Estos cruces pretenden establecer si es posible que S. uniloba aporte la variabilidad genética necesaria a los híbridos de dichos cruces, para aumentar la posibilidad de que la característica de resistencia a la antracnosis se herede. La técnica utilizada para el desarrollo de esta investigación fue AFLP (Amplified Fragment Lenght Polymorphism, por sus siglas en inglés).
