Description

The project Center for the Elderly, seeks to provide that percentage of the population considered a senior, a deserving place. Being located in San Antonio, reap the benefits of the warm dry climate. Through a central courtyard, the project is organized around it, allowing the existence of a communal outdoor area that connects all the buildings. Seeks to create an environment dedicated to the elderly, to thereby delay their physical and mental deterioration. The center aims to cover all areas of need and care for the elderly such as health, rehabilitation, occupational workshops, dining, entertainment and residences. It focuses on both independent elderly and in need of assistance. The project is based on the natural lighting and ventilation, and the use of native vegetation to create a more favorable environment.
El proyecto Centro para la Tercera edad, busca dar un lugar a ese porcentaje de la población considerada un adulto mayor. Al estar ubicado en San Antonio, aprovecha los beneficios del clima cálido seco. Por medio de un patio central, el proyecto se organiza a su alrededor, permitiendo que exista un área comunal exterior que conecta todos los volúmenes. Busca crear un ambiente dedicado a la tercera edad, para de esta forma retrasar su deterioro físico y mental. El centro propone abarcar todas las áreas de necesidad y cuidado para los adultos mayores, como salud, rehabilitación, talleres ocupacionales, comedor, salas de entretenimiento y residencia. Se enfoca tanto en adultos mayores independientes así como en los que necesitan asistencia. El Proyecto tiene como base la iluminación y ventilación natural, y la utilización de vegetación nativa para la creación de un ambiente más favorable.
