Crecimiento personal a partir de una ruptura amorosa : Un estudio de caso a través de la terapia humanista existencial

The present case study will be about a twenty-five-year-old man whom will be named Antonio. Since his six-year romantic relationship ended, he goes to therapy one year after the breakup in order to take back his life. He presents a high anxiety to any aspect related to his ex couple. In therapy, it is treated the unfinished business; issues related to the relationship with his ex girlfriend and even childhood episodes. The therapeutic process takes twelve sessions in which the relationship therapist-client is essential. The therapies used are humanistic psychotherapy and existential psychotherapy. Client-centered therapy, Gestalt principles, emotional-focused-psychotherapy and oriented-experiential-psychotherapy are used as well. Through existential psychotherapy, Antonio takes consciousness about the “givens of existence” as they are in his case: existential isolation, freedom and responsibility, and meaninglessness.
El presente estudio de caso trata sobre un joven que se le llamará Antonio de veinticinco años de edad quien a raíz de una ruptura amorosa de seis años de relación, acude a terapia luego de un año para retomar la dirección de su vida. Presenta una gran ansiedad hacia todos los aspectos relacionados con su expareja. En terapia, se tratan los asuntos inconclusos que presenta Antonio desde la relación con su exnovia hasta episodios de su infancia. El proceso terapéutico dura doce sesiones en las cuales la relación terapeuta-cliente es primordial. Las terapias utilizadas son la psicoterapia humanista y la psicoterapia existencial. Se centra en el cliente, se usa principios de la Gestalt, y también se utiliza las psicoterapias humanistas: enfocada en la emoción y orientada a la experiencia sentida.
