“Perfil epidemiológico de los adultos mayores en los Cantones Quero y Cevallos de la provincia de Tungurahua”

El presente trabajo de investigación pretende determinar el perfil epidemiológico de una porción muy delicada de nuestra población como son los Adultos Mayores, específicamente de quienes acuden a los Centros de Salud de los Cantones Quero y Cevallos de la provincia de Tungurahua, por lo cual se tomó en cuenta las patologías propias de la edad de 65 años en adelante, mediante un instrumento previamente elaborado para clasificar las patologías por sistemas y así realizar la recolección de dichos datos. Mediante la presente podremos observar cual es la prevalencia de patologías que más se van a ver afectados en los Adultos Mayores de dichos Cantones contando con una población de 4.367 Adultos Mayores que acuden a dichos Centros de Salud en el periodo Agosto 2015-Agosto 2016, la población de adultos mayores ha crecido de manera considerable y las patologías de este grupo etario también, por lo que conocer su epidemiologia puede explicar los factores de riesgo más relevantes para en base a ella intervenir en los cambios fisiopatológicos que se sumen a la enfermedad que pueda padecer la muestra poblacional. Este estudio tiene gran relevancia para quienes formamos parte del equipo de salud. Pues fundamentados en estos datos podamos planificar nuestras acciones en los diferentes ámbitos sanitarios.
This research aims to determine the epidemiological profile of a very delicate portion of our population, such as the Elderly Adults, specifically those who come to the Health Centers of Cantones Quero and Cevallos in the province of Tungurahua. The study of the characteristics and health conditions of this population, took into account the pathologies proper to the age of 65 years and onwards by means of a previously developed instrument to classify the pathologies by systems and thus make the collection of said data. By means of the present one we will be able to observe what is the prevalence of pathologies that are going to be affected more in the Elderly Adults of said Cantones having a population of 4.367 Seniors that go to the different Health Center in the period August 2015-August 2016, the The elderly population has grown considerably and the pathologies of this age group, by which epidemiology can explain the most relevant risk factors to intervene in pathophysiological changes that add to the disease that may present the population sample. This study has great relevance for those who are part of the health team.
