La investigación se desarrolla bajo el tema “Incidencia de tendinitis del manguito de los rotadores en fisicoculturistas amaterur del cantón Ambato provincia de Tungurahua”, que planteó como objetivo determinar la incidencia de tendinitis del manguito de los rotadores en fisicoculturistas amateur del cantón Ambato Provincia de Tungurahua, identificando factores predisponentes en este tipo de deportista. Para la obtención de los datos se usó la Escala de valoración del Hombro de la UCLA que evalúa el dolor, elevación anterior del hombro, fuerza hacia adelante y la función y pruebas funcionales para lesión del manguito de los rotadores Jobe, Neer, Hawking Kennedy, Yocum para el supraespinoso, Patte para el infraespinoso, Gerber para el subescapular, prueba de redondo menor, Lag Test para rotura del tendón y la segunda escala de valoración del Hombro de la UCLA que evalúa el dolor, elevación anterior del hombro, fuerza hacia adelante y la función. La población fue de 200 participantes seleccionados bajos los criterios de inclusión y exclusión que asisten a los diferentes gimnasios de la ciudad de Ambato, los datos obtenidos fueron analizados e interpretados de forma estadística obteniendo la incidencia de la tendinitis del manguito de los rotadores en fisicoculturistas amateurs.
The investigation is developed under the topic "Incidence of tendinitis of the rotator cuff in amaterur bodybuilders of the canton Ambato province of Tungurahua", which aimed to determine the incidence of rotator cuff tendonitis in amateur bodybuilders of the Ambato canton Tungurahua, identifying predisposing factors in this type of athlete. To obtain the data, the UCLA Shoulder Assessment Scale was used to evaluate pain, anterior shoulder elevation, forward force and function, and functional tests for rotator cuff injury Jobe, Neer, Hawking Kennedy, Yocum for the supraspinatus, Patte for the infraspinatus, Gerber for the subscapularis, round test, Lag Test for tendon rupture, and the second UCLA Shoulder assessment scale that assesses pain, anterior shoulder elevation, forward strength and the function. The population was 200 participants selected under inclusion and exclusion criteria attending the different gyms of the city of Ambato, the data obtained were analyzed and interpreted statistically obtaining the incidence of rotator cuff tendonitis in amateur bodybuilders .
