El presente estudio de caso clínico hace referencia a una paciente de 60 años de edad, sexo femenino, jubilada. La paciente es diagnosticada con Tenosinovitis de Quervain y Síndrome de Túnel Carpiano, realizándose el tratamiento de rehabilitación únicamente para la Tenosinovitis de Quervain, cabe recalcar que la paciente tiene una marcada tendencia a abandonar el tratamiento tanto médico como fisioterapéutico; esto la lleva a realizarse una liberación de la vaina tendinosa del abductor del pulgar, cronificándose así el Síndrome de Túnel Carpiano, dejando como consecuencia en la paciente dolor, limitación funcional y debilidad muscular. Se analizó el cuadro clínico de la paciente encontrándose limitaciones funcionales a nivel de muñeca y mano derecha, para lo cual se identificó las posibles causas, factores de riesgo, y puntos críticos. Posteriormente se propone un tratamiento fisioterapéutico para la pronta recuperación de la paciente encaminado a mejorar su estado funcional y su retorno a las actividades de la vida diaria.
The present clinical case study refers to a 60 years-old female patient, retired. The patient is diagnosed with Quervain's tenosynovitis and carpal tunnel syndrome, performing only rehabilitation for de Quervain's tenosynovitis treatment, should be noted that the patient has a strong tendency to abandon the treatment both medical and physiotherapy; This leads it to be a release of the tendon sheath of abductor thumb, chronifying the carpal tunnel syndrome, leaving as a result in the patient pain, functional limitation, and muscle weakness. The clinical picture of the patient with functional limitations at the level of wrist and right hand, was analyzed for which identified the causes, risk factors, and critical points. Subsequently proposed a physiotherapeutic treatment for an early recovery of the patient to improve their functional State and their return to activities of daily living.
