Las salvaguardias y el producto interno bruto en el sector económico agrícola del Ecuador

El presente proyecto de se trata del análisis del impacto de la creación de las salvaguardias en el sector agrícola del Ecuador, las cuales fueron creadas con la intención de proteger la industria local, para lo cual se utiliza las variables de producto interno bruto y salvaguardas. Los datos utilizados en el presente proyecto son extraídos del Banco Central del Ecuador, en el cual se realizó un análisis de regresión lineal con las variables antes mencionadas. Además, se tomó en cuenta la variación de las importaciones del sector agrícola del Ecuador en el periodo previo y posterior a la aplicación de las salvaguardas, pudiendo observar que la aplicación de las salvaguardas ha sido efectiva, disminuyendo las importaciones en el sector agrícola del Ecuador y aumentando la variable del Producto Interno Bruto. Antes de la aplicación de las salvaguardas, la producción es decreciente y posterior a la aplicación de estas medidas proteccionistas, la producción en el sector agrícola del Ecuador es creciente. Por otro lado, se corrió el modelo con el método de los mínimos cuadrados ordinarios para saber cuál es el porcentaje de relación entre las variables obteniendo una fuerte relación entre las mismas.
This project is about the analysis of the impact of the creation of safeguards in the agricultural sector of Ecuador, which were created with the intention to protect the local industry, for which the variables of gross domestic product and safeguards were used. The data used in this project are taken from the Central Bank of Ecuador, in which a linear regression analysis with the above variables was performed. In addition, it took into account the variation of imports of the agricultural sector of Ecuador in the prior and subsequent to the application of safeguards period may notice that the application of safeguards has been effective, reducing imports in the agricultural sector of Ecuador and increasing the variable of gross domestic product. Before application of safeguards, production is decreasing and after the application of these protectionist measures, production in the agricultural sector of Ecuador is growing. On the other hand, the model was run with the method of ordinary least squares to know what percentage of relationship between variables obtaining a strong relationship between them, accepting the alternative hypothesis which tells us that the application of protectionist measures influencing the growth of gross domestic product.
