La presente investigación se basó en la aplicación de estrategias de aprendizaje cooperativo y la incidencia en el desarrollo de las habilidades cognitivas de los estudiantes de los cuartos años de educación general básica de la escuela de Educación Básica Santa Rosa de la ciudad de Ambato”, específicamente en el área de ciencias naturales. Lo que motivó este trabajo de investigación fue la necesidad de mejorar la calidad educativa de los estudiantes, de adaptar nuevas estrategias para que los estudiantes desarrollen de mejor manera sus habilidades cognitivas, el rendimiento académico y las habilidades sociales, las mismas que proporcionaran tanto a los estudiantes y docentes un medio para trabajar en aulas en donde no exista la segregación y todos estén en las mismas posibilidades de alcanzar el éxito. Solución al problema: con la finalidad de lograr el mejor desempeño y desarrollo de habilidades cognitivas en los estudiantes mediante el uso de una manual de estrategias de aprendizaje cooperativo dirigido a los docentes, de tal forma esta herramienta se adecúa a las necesidades de los estudiantes. Se pudo concluir que las estrategias de aprendizaje cooperativo inciden en el desarrollo de las habilidades cognitivas de los estudiantes.
This research was based on the application of cooperative learning strategies and the impact on the development of cognitive skills of students in fourth years of basic education school Basic Education Santa Rosa city of Ambato, "specifically in the area of natural sciences. What motivated this research was the need to improve the quality of education students to adapt new strategies to help students develop better cognitive skills, academic performance and social skills, to provide them both students and teachers a means to work in classrooms where there is no segregation and everyone is on the same chances of success. Solution to the problem: in order to achieve the best performance and development of cognitive skills in students through the use of a manual of cooperative learning strategies aimed at teachers, so this tool is adapted to the needs of students. We concluded that cooperative learning strategies affect the development of cognitive skills of students.
