La investigación sobre “Los sistemas de información gerencial y el esquema de la base de datos en la Asociación Mutualista Ambato”, tiene como objetivo general implantar un esquema de Base de Datos, que apoye en la obtención de información y desarrollo de reportes para favorecer a una correcta toma de decisiones, mediante la presentación de información gerencial de manera rápida y confiable. El problema presentado en la Institución es la falta de información gerencial, cuya obtención se ha visto dificultada debido al esquema actual que posee la Base de Datos, mismo que no proporciona las facilidades para la extracción de información, generando tiempos largos de desarrollo y entrega de reportes, lo cual afecta al conocimiento del estado real de la Institución por parte de la Gerencia y Subgerencias involucradas en la toma de decisiones importantes para la Institución. Con la presente investigación se plantea dar solución a los problemas presentados, donde los reportes generados sean un apoyo eficaz, a corto y/o largo plazo, para fortalecer la administración de la Institución. EXECUTIVE SUMMARY Research on " management information systems and schema database in Ambato Mutual Association " , is generally intended to create a database schema that supports in obtaining information and developing reports to favor correct decision-making by presenting management information quickly and reliably. The problem presented in the organization is the lack of management information , whose preparation has been hampered due to the current schema that owns the database, it does not provide facilities for extracting information, generating long development times and delivering reports, which affects the knowledge of the real state of the Institution by the Manager and Assistant Managers involved in making important decisions for the institution. With the present research is aimed to solve the problems presented , where the generated reports are effectively supported in the short and / or long term, to strengthen the administration of the institution.
