Este estudio plantea el tema Apoyo social percibido (global, instrumental, emocional, informacional) y su relación con la autoestima (alta, media y baja) de los adolescentes que por negligencia familiar, comportamiento inadecuado y maltrato físico, psicológico o sexual se encuentran en acogimiento institucional emergente. Los adolescentes son un grupo realmente vulnerable por la etapa de desarrollo que están atravesando y por el estado al cual han tenido que ser sometidos (Acogimiento Institucional Emergente), con estos aspectos se ha observado que la autoestima varía. Este estudio analizará el apoyo social que perciben como una causa a la autoestima que presentan los adolescentes dentro de la institución de acogimiento en el tiempo de estancia. La población para el estudio es de 60 adolescentes de los cuales 27 son mujeres y 33 hombres con edades entre 12 a 18 años. Como instrumentos psicométricos se han planteado el Inventario de Autoestima de Coopersmith-Versión Escolar para evaluar la autoestima de los adolescentes y el Cuestionario de Apoyo Social Percibido MOS-SSS, para a posterior evaluar la relación que existe entre las dos variables, además la encuesta sociodemográfica que permite analizar la diferencia de géneros de la muestra con relación a las variables planteadas.
This study propose the issue Perceived Social Support (global, instrumental, emotional and informational) and its relationship with the self- esteem (high, medium and low) of adolescents for reasons of family negligence, inappropriate behavior and physical, psychological or sexual abuse are in emerging institutional care. These teens are vulnerable group fo the stage of development they are going through and the state that they have had to undergo (Emerging Institutional Care), with these aspects has been observed that self-esteem varies. This study will examined the perceived social support as a cause of self-esteem adolescents presenting within the institution in time of residence. The population for the study is of 60 adolescents whom 27 are women and 33 men, with aged between 12-18 years old. As psychometric instruments have used the Coopersmith Self-Esteem Inventory-Version School to evaluate the self-esteem of adolescents and Perceived Social Support Questionnaire MOS-SSS, for a further evaluate the relation between the two variables, furthermore the sociodemographic survey had been used for analyze the gender difference in the sample relative to the variables proposed.
