The present research work "The impact of social tourism demand and the sustainability of the baths of the Virgin of the canton of Baños de Agua Santa province of Tungurahua", has as general objective to analyze the impact of the demand of social tourism in the sustainability of the hot springs to solve the correct operation of the life of these hot springs. Using an econometric model of simple linear regression applies the tourist demand as variable variables explained and income as independent variable through the Software Gretl will verify if the model is viable or not for the research project. This is then applied economic theory proposed by Harold Hotelling that focuses on renewable resources. Therefore, the Hotelling model focuses on two aspects the first do not remove the non-renewable natural resource and give you a greater monetary value under the ground and the second remove the renewable natural resource with the purpose of profiting economically being the second option in the case of the baths of the Virgin of Baños de Agua Santa. Therefore, apply silver by Hotelling equations with the objective of estimating the useful life of the thermal baths of the Virgin of Baños de Agua Santa
El presente proyecto investigativo “El impacto de la demanda turística social y la sustentabilidad de las termas de la Virgen del cantón Baños de Agua Santa provincia de Tungurahua”, tiene como objetivo general analizar el impacto de la demanda del turismo social en la sustentabilidad de las termas para solventar el correcto funcionamiento de la vida útil de dichas termas. Mediante un modelo econométrico de regresión lineal simple se aplica las variables demanda turística como variable explicada y los ingresos como variable independiente a través del Software Gretl se verificará si el modelo planteado es viable o no para el proyecto de investigación. Seguidamente se aplica la teoría económica propuesta por Harold Hotelling que se enfoca en recursos renovables. Por tanto, el modelo Hotelling se enfoca en dos aspectos el primero no extraer el recurso natural no renovable y darle un mayor valor monetario bajo tierra y el segundo extraer el recurso natural renovable con la finalidad de lucrar económicamente siendo la segunda opción el caso de las termas de la Virgen de Baños de Agua Santa. Por lo tanto, se aplicará las ecuaciones plateados por Hotelling con la finalidad de estimar la vida útil de las termas de la Virgen de Baños de Agua Santa.
