El presente estudio tuvo como objetivo comparar el perfil ejecutivo en niños y niñas con y sin bajo rendimiento escolar de la Unidad Educativa Jerusalén. Se utilizó un diseño de tipo descriptivo y correlacional. La población estudio fueron 72 niños de ambos géneros comprendidos en edades entre 6 y 12 años, de segundo a séptimo grado. Fueron evaluados mediante la Evaluación neuropsicológica de las Funciones Ejecutivas en niños y las notas actuales informadas por los maestros. Los resultados encontrados fueron que el perfil ejecutivo de niños y niñas con bajo rendimiento escolar presentaba niveles similares en algunos dominios y deficientes en otros a diferencia del perfil ejecutivo de niños y niñas sin bajo rendimiento escolar que presentaron mejores puntajes en algunos dominios e igualmente semejanzas, al realizar la prueba estadística U de Mann Whitney se encontró que las funciones ejecutivas influyen en el rendimiento académico, con un 99% de confiabilidad, indicando así, una relación directamente proporcional entre las variables. The objective of this study was to compare the executive profile in children with and without low school performance of the Educational Unit Jerusalem. A design of descriptive and correlational type was used. The study population was 72 children of both genders between the ages of 6 and 12 years, from second to seventh grade. They were evaluated through the Neuropsychological Evaluation of Executive Functions in children and current grades reported by teachers. The results found were that the executive profile of boys and girls with low school performance presented similar levels in some domains and deficient in others, unlike the executive profile of boys and girls without low school performance who showed better scores in some domains and similarities. When performing the Mann Whitney U statistical test it was found that executive functions influence academic performance, with 99% reliability, indicating a directly proportional relationship between the variables.
