Summary: | The research was developed in the Tomas Oleas Educational Unit to determine the incidence of using the PhET Simulator in learning Newton's Second Law in the second-year students of General High School in the academic period 2021-2022. The research had a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design because it seeks to identify the impact of an intervention (PhET Simulator); regarding the level, it is explanatory since it establishes the cause that generates a higher grade; the sample is intentional, not probabilistic with two groups: quasi-experimental group and the control group. A pre-test was applied to determine that the groups were homogeneous, evidenced by their averages of 5.32 and 5.9; after the intervention of the two groups with 20 hours of learning activities, the post-test was applied, which showed that the group that used PhET improved its average. When analyzing the results, it was determined that the control group obtained an average of 7.16, while the quasi-experimental group obtained an average of 9.00. It is concluded that the PhET Simulator impacts the learning of Newton's Second Law since the students of the quasi-experimental group obtained a higher average than the control group. It is recommended to implement this didactic tool that facilitates the realization of experiments virtually in the learning process of physics with previous training of the simulator. |
