En el presente trabajo se da a conocer la efectividad que tienen los mapas mentales en el proceso de ense?anza-aprendizaje, espec?ficamente en posibilitar a los educandos a comprender de mejor manera diversos tipos de textos o informaci?n que se presenta a su alrededor. El trabajo se realiz? bajo un enfoque cualitativo, por lo que se hizo una revisi?n sistem?tica de la bibliograf?a m?s actualizada considerando a los principales referentes que han estudiado esta herramienta. Luego de analizar la informaci?n, se concluye que estos mapas representan una t?cnica valiosa, imprescindible para el ?mbito educativo, que puede ayudar de manera significativa a la comprensi?n de diversos textos, desde los m?s simples a los m?s complejos. Esto gracias a su sencillez de uso y a su representaci?n gr?fica que permite tanto a estudiantes como a docentes, trabajar mejor fomentando un ambiente arm?nico y a la vez desarrollar sus capacidades aprovechando la naturaleza que ofrece nuestro cerebro.
In the present work, it is give to know the effectiveness of mind maps in the teaching-learning process, specifically in enabling learners to better understand various types of texts or information that is presented around them. The work was carried out under a qualitative approach, for which a systematic review of the most up-to-date bibliography was made considering the main referents who have studied this tool. After this investigation, it is concluded that these maps represent a valuable technique or strategy essential for the educational field, which can significantly help the understanding of various texts, from the simplest to the most complex. This thanks to their simplicity of use and its graphic representation that allows both students and teachers to work better promotting a harmonious environment and at the same time, develop their abilities taking advantage the nature that our brain offer.
