La presente investigaci?n surge de la observaci?n participante durante la pr?ctica profesional en modalidad presencial y virtual realizada en la Unidad Educativa Especial ?Agust?n Cueva Tamariz? en el aula de octavo a?o de Educaci?n General B?sica. Busca contribuir en la mejora de la calidad de vida de los ni?os con s?ndrome de Down al compensar el retraso de lenguaje de un estudiante con esta condici?n que presenta alteraciones en todos los componentes ling??sticos. La investigaci?n se enmarca en el paradigma hermen?utico ? interpretativo con un enfoque cualitativo basado en un estudio de caso donde se aplic? diversos m?todos, t?cnicas e instrumentos tales como: la observaci?n participante, entrevista a la maestra y a la familia, fichas logop?dicas y diarios de campo con la finalidad de obtener informaci?n. Posteriormente mediante la triangulaci?n y procesando toda la informaci?n obtenida, en el marco de un an?lisis minucioso del estado de los componentes del lenguaje del caso ?nico, as? como la presencia de las necesidades en dicho estudiante a consecuencia del s?ndrome de Down, se plantea una propuesta logop?dica que consiste en el dise?o de actividades l?dicas organizadas en una cartilla que permitan compensar los componentes del lenguaje y la identificaci?n de barreras.
This research arises from a participant observation during professional practice in face-to-face but mainly virtual modality, carried out at ?Agust?n Cueva Tamariz '' special education elementary school in an eighth grade classroom. The goal is to contribute to improve the quality of life of children diagnosed with Down syndrome by compensating for the language delay of a student with this condition that presents alterations in all linguistic components. The research is part of the hermeneutical - interpretive paradigm with a qualitative approach through a case study. Various methods, techniques and instruments have been applied in this research such as: participant observation, interviews with the teacher and the family of the target child, speech therapy files and field diaries. Based on all the information obtained within the framework of a detailed analysis of the state of the language components and the needs of the Down syndrome students, a speech therapy proposal has been proposed. It consists of the design of recreational activities organized in a booklet that compensate for the language components and the identification of barriers.
