M?todos de ajuste y homogenizaci?n de datos clim?ticos para determinar ?ndice de humedad de Lang en la provincia de Manab?, Ecuador.

The objective of this research is to use the methods of adjustment, estimation and homogenization of climate data to produce a Lang moisture index for Manabi province. The methods used were: mean substitution, linear interpolation and the racha method. The parameters studied were: temperature and precipitation, information on which is available in meteorological yearbooks of the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology. Once weather data were standardized, the procedure was: algorithmic crossing of precipitation and temperature maps to generate the index, calibration of isolines on the map of the Portoviejo river basin. We concluded that there was a 90% match of the index to reality. There were insignificant variations in temperature, owing to the isothermal location, but considerable differences in rainfall, ranging from 1 to approximately 2500 mm.
El objetivo de esta investigaci?n es emplear los m?todos de ajuste, estimaci?n y homogeneizaci?n de datos clim?ticos para elaborar el ?ndice de humedad de Lang en la provincia Manab?. Los m?todos empleados fueron: sustituci?n por el promedio, interpolaci?n lineal y la racha. Los par?metros tratados fueron temperatura y precipitaci?n, cuya informaci?n estuvo disponible en anuarios meteorol?gicos del Instituto Nacional de Meteorolog?a e Hidrolog?a. Una vez normalizados los datos clim?ticos, el procedimiento fue: cruce algor?tmico de los mapas de precipitaci?n y temperatura para generar el ?ndice, calibraci?n con el mapa de isol?neas de la cuenca del r?o Portoviejo. Se concluy? que el ?ndice se ajust? en 90 % a la realidad. Casi no hay variaciones de temperatura debido a la ubicaci?n isotermal, mientras se registran considerables diferencias en las precipitaciones, desde 1 hasta 2 500 mm aproximadamente.
