Description

This project is a literature review to describe the legal and technical framework for the viability of Incorporating the management activities carried out in Spain into the Ecuadorian legislation of used tires. It is intended to invite to join efforts between related companies and government agencies of environmental control with the academic and scientific community to improve the sustainable management of this type of waste. The ?Comparative analysis between the Ecuadorian and Spanish Legislation on the management of used tires? aims to compare the two laws about used tires and contribute with some advices for implementation in Ecuadorian legislation. The emission of Royal Decree 1619 in 2005 has facilitated the generation of instruments contributing to tire management being used in Spain for eight years before the Ministerial Agreement 020 issued in 2013 by Ecuador. This shows the progress in their environmental policies and compliance of their objectives, considering that both laws are based on the principle of Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR)
