La comunidad Ucholoma cuenta con asentamientos poblacionales de forma desordenada, lo cual ha condicionado geométricamente las vías existentes El proyecto vial ¨DISEÑO GEOMETRICO Y DE PAVIMENTOS DE LA VIA CAMINO A UCHOLOMA DE LA PARROQUIA BAÑOS, CANTON CUENCA¨ consiste en realizar un estudio de tráfico, topografía de la zona y caracterización del suelo, con el fin de mejorar sus alineamientos, ampliar su sección y brindar seguridad a los transeúntes. La Universidad Católica de Cuenca, conjuntamente con el Gobierno Autónomo Descentralizado de la Parroquia Baños, del Cantón Cuenca, han firmado un convenio de cooperación interinstitucional; con la finalidad de trabajar en beneficio de sus habitantes, se desarrolló el presente estudio vial, presentando como una alternativa de solución integral. El presente documento expone los diferentes aspectos técnicos considerados para el diseño geométrico y señalización horizontal-vertical del tramo vial, basado en normas y especificaciones vigentes en el Ecuador. Para el diseño del pavimento se aplicó la norma AASHTO 93; ¨Diseño de Pavimentos Flexibles¨, que es adoptada en nuestro país por el Ministerio de Transporte y Obras Públicas (MTOP), misma que cumple con el buen vivir de los habitantes, garantizando comodidad, seguridad y además disminuyendo tiempos de viaje para trasladarse a diferentes lugares.

This document presents the different technical aspects considered for the geometric design and vertical-horizontal signaling of the road section, based on standards and specifications in force in Ecuador. For the design of the pavement the AASHTO 93 standard was applied; ¨Design of Flexible Floors¨, which is adopted in our country by the Ministry of Transport and Public Works (MTOP), which meets the good living of the inhabitants, ensuring comfort, safety and also reducing travel times to move to different places.
