Comorbilidad presentes en los adultos mayores atendidos en el hospiral José Carrasco Arteaga, período septiembre-enero 2018

Introducción: El adulto mayor por sus características propias de su etapa y los cambios biopsicosociales, requiere una atención especial y diferente que permita satisfacer sus necesidades a distintos niveles encontrándose en riesgo a varias patologías crónicas o agudas, que los induce a consultar con frecuencia a los diferentes servicios de salud. Objetivo: Determinar las patologías presentes en el Adulto Mayor atendidas en el Hospital José Carrasco Arteaga, periodo Septiembre 2017- Enero 2018. Metodología: Se realizó un estudio descriptivo, retroprospectivo, transversal, que se llevó a cabo por medio de una ficha de recolección de datos y el sistema AS400 de los pacientes adultos mayores mediante el uso de 276 Historias Clínicas. Se realizó un análisis descriptivo a través del sistema SPSS Statistics en donde se generó tablas y gráficos de las variables de estudio. Resultados: La edad frecuente oscila entre 77-84 años con un 31,9% , el sexo femenino representa un 52,9%, el 47,8 % del grupo de estudio tiene una instrucción primaria, procedente de la zona rural con un 63,8% con una residencia en la zona rural del 67,0 0/0, un estado civil casado con un porcentaje del 54,3% ; las áreas de estudio fueron Clínica 3 33,33%, Clínica 2 35,87% y Cardiología 30,80%, el diagnostico de egreso más común tanto en hombre como mujeres fue la colelitiasis presentándose en un 16,7%; Y la comorbilidad representativa fue la hipertensión arterial y artrosis de rodilla. Conclusiones: La morbilidad de mayor importancia en la población adulta mayor es en las patologías abdominales y de resolución quirúrgica.

A descriptive analysis was carried out through the SPSS Statistics system where tables and graphs of the study variables were generated. Results: The frequent age ranges between 77-84 years with 31.9%, the female sex represents 52.9%, 47.8% of the study group has a primary education, coming from the rural area with 63 .8% with a residence in the rural area of 67.0 0/0, a married marital status with a percentage of 54.3%; the study areas were Clinic 3 33.33%, Clinic 2 35.87% and Cardiology 30.80%. The most common discharge diagnosis in both men and women was cholelithiasis, presenting in 16.7%; And the representative comorbidity was arterial hypertension and knee osteoarthritis. Conclusions: The most important morbidity in the elderly population is in abdominal pathologies and surgical resolution.
