Se ha buscado desarrollar por medio del uso y aplicación del Sistema de Gestión de Calidad, así como la aplicación de un proceso de Mejora Continua, en la Cooperativa de Ahorro y Crédito San Vicente de Sur Ltda., ubicada en la ciudad de Quito, el respectivo levantamiento y diseño de procesos de las diferentes unidades de la cooperativa, lo que permitirá que sus miembros optimicen la manera de dirigir la institución financiera y al mismo tiempo mejoren los recursos humanos y capitales a fin de ofrecer un servicio de calidad a sus socios. La indagación y el desarrollo de este trabajo en la cooperativa permitieron identificar desde varias perspectivas las principales responsabilidades que tienen sus miembros dentro de un proceso financiero el cual contribuye al funcionamiento de la institución. La información obtenida permitió el diseño de flujogramas. Este trabajo contribuirá significativamente para el desarrollo profesional el cual a futuro llegaría a ser una herramienta importante para el desarrollo de un sistema de gestión de calidad. Debido a esto es necesario desarrollar un Manual de Procesos Financieros en el cual se pueda detallar de una manera clara y precisa las diferentes actividades que se llevarán a cabo en cada unidad, así como identificar a los responsables o encargados de ejecutarlos, buscando de esta forma que el talento humano de la cooperativa esté al tanto de las actividades y responsabilidades asignadas. Además de efectuar capacitaciones constantes a su talento humano con la finalidad de ofrecer un servicio de calidad que permita satisfacer las necesidades de sus socios.
It has sought to develop the production and design of efficient processes for the different departments of “San Vicente de Sur Ltda.” Credit Union - located in Quito city - by using and implementing a Quality Management System (QMS) as well as a Process of Continuous Improvement. This work will allow its members to optimize the way they operate this credit union and to optimize human and capital resources in order to offer high quality services to its customers. Gathering information and the development of this work at the “San Vicente de Sur Ltda.” Credit Union have been key elements to identify, from different perspectives, the main duties its members have within a financial processes which contribute to the correct functionality of this financial cooperative. The information gathered allowed some flowcharts to be designed too. This Work will contribute significantly for a continuous professional improvement which will become in the future an important tool for the development of a better Quality Management System (QMS). According to what was mentioned before, it is necessary to develop an “Financial Procedures Manual” (FPM) which should contain policies and detailed procedures for all its members dealing mostly with the finance and administrative side of the credit union. In this way, the human talent will be well informed about the duties they have to deal with. Also, it is important to maintain an ongoing training programme for staff in order to provide a high quality service which could satisfy all customers” necessities.
