El desarrollo turístico en cada destino se debe de trabajar para brindar los beneficios adecuados y que todos los actores involucrados se organicen en conjunto para el interés en ambas partes. El turismo en el Ecuador se encuentra en desarrollo, en especial en varios destinos que se encuentran potencializando por parte del Gobierno. El cantón Pichincha es un destino que no cuenta con las facilidades adecuadas para satisfacer las necesidades o experiencia que los turistas desean tener, sin embargo, cuenta con potencial turístico por los atractivos, gastronomía y cultura que es lo que muchos buscan en un destino. En el presente estudio, se realiza un estudio adecuado del sistema turístico del cantón y análisis de la potencial demanda, en conjunto con el perfil del turista que atraería el destino. Con la información pertinente se realiza un plan de desarrollo turístico del cantón para el beneficio de la comunidad, la cual se encuentra interesada en la industria, y las autoridades pertinentes.
Tourism development in each destination must work to provide the appropriate benefits and that all the actors involved are organized together for the interest of both parties. Tourism in Ecuador is under development, especially in several destinations that are being promoted by the Government. The Pichincha canton is a destination that does not have adequate facilities to satisfy the needs or experience that tourists wish to have, however, it has tourism potential due to its attractions, gastronomy and culture, which is what many seek in a destination. In the present study, an adequate study of the tourist system of the canton and analysis of the potential demand is carried out, together with the profile of the tourist that the destination would attract. With the relevant information, is worked a tourism development plan for the canton on for the benefit of the community, which is interested in the industry, and the relevant authorities.
