He objective of this research work is to study the profitability of the tree tomato crop of Chiquicha Central Parish of the Pelileo Canton Province of Tungurahua period 2018, to improve the condition of family welfare and its environment in the parish. The study population was 80 tree tomato producers from the aforementioned parish; a structured survey and interviews were used; in order to know the expenses that demand the production, as well as the frequency of harvest and volume of the fruit, and income by commercialization. The results of the investigation allow to show that the current situation of tree tomato production is medium due to the incidence of pests and diseases, although the profitability of the crop is limited by the low costs paid during commercialization, especially in the second half of the year the crop. From the work presented, it is concluded that in the Chiquicha parish it is at a low technological level for production, due to the fact that most producers receive very limited training and advice; The productive cost of the tree tomato for this area is between 300 and 450 USD per year, with average profitability of the crop from the second year of production since the first one recovers the production costs. In the second year of production (third of life) the net income is of 2 392, 34 USD dollars; not so that in the third year of production (quarter of life) there is a net income of 2950.43 USD dollars. The present research work takes into consideration fundamental aspects for the improvement of profitability of the crop, recognizing the importance of the empowerment of existing associations of producers and the management of crops in a sustainable and sustainable way over time, with clean products.
El presente trabajo de investigación se realizó en la Parroquia Chiquicha central perteneciente al Cantón Pelileo, Provincia de Tungurahua durante el periodo 2018. Los objetivos planteados en este trabajo investigativo fueron: Cuantificar la oferta de tomate de árbol en la parroquia Chiquicha del Cantón Pelileo, provincia de Tungurahua, periodo 2018. Determinar la demanda de consumo de tomate de árbol en el mercado local. Establecer los costos de producción del tomate de árbol, la relación RB/C; como indicador de la rentabilidad del cultivo. La muestra para el presente estudio fue de 80 productores de tomate de árbol de la parroquia Chiquicha a los cuales se aplicó una encuesta estructurada; se realizó entrevistas tanto a comerciantes como a; productores en el mercado local, con el fin de conocer los gastos que demanda la producción, así como la frecuencia de cosecha y volumen de la fruta, e ingresos por comercialización. Los resultados de la investigación permiten mostrar que la situación actual de la producción de tomate de árbol es media por efecto de la incidencia de plagas y enfermedades, a más de esto la rentabilidad del cultivo se ve limitada por los costos bajos pagados durante la comercialización especialmente en el segundo semestre del año el cultivo. Del trabajo expuesto se concluye que en la parroquia Chiquicha se encuentra en un nivel tecnológico bajo para la producción, debido a que la mayoría de productores recibe una capacitación y asesoramiento muy limitado; el costo productivo del tomate de árbol para esta zona está entre 300 a 450 USD anual/cuadra, encontrándose rentabilidad media del cultivo a partir del segundo año de producción ya que el primero recupera los costos de producción. En el segundo año de producción (tercero de vida) el ingreso neto es de 2 392, 34 USD dólares; no así que al tercer año de producción (cuarto de vida) existe un ingreso neto de 2950,43 USD dólares. El presente trabajo investigativo toma en consideración aspectos fundamentales para el mejoramiento de rentabilidad del cultivo, reconociendo la importancia del empoderamiento de las asociaciones existentes de productores y el manejo de los cultivos de forma sustentable y sostenible a través del tiempo, con productos limpios.
