Description

This project is set as a proposal that responds to a more user friendly and integrative practice of justice. It parts from choosing the site at Av. Cristobal Colos and Amazonas, creating a connection between the new judicial platforms, and as a continuing point of the green axis that connects the most important parks of the city. The formal representation of the building parts from the morphological transformation of the renaissance palace, this transforms in order to respond in a better way to the function of the building’s program, in order to fullfill the requirement of distinction of public and private spaces, but that can maintain the unidrect relations by conserving the idea of a central patio as the conection point of all this spaces. The building maintains the idea of being an important building inside the city, but at the same time eliminates the barriers, creating strong and friendly relations with the context.
El proyecto “Edificio Judicial Quito”, se plantea como una propuesta que responde a una nueva práctica de la justicia; más incluyente y amable con el usuario. Se parte de la elección del sitio, Av. Cristóbal Colón y Amazonas, como punto de conexión entre nuevas plataformas gubernamentales y como continuidad del eje verde que vincula los parques más representativos de la ciudad. Por su parte, la organización formal del edificio está dada por la transformación tipológica del Palacio Renacentista. La misma, que se transforma a fin de adaptarse de mejor manera a los requerimientos del programa, logra cumplir con la exigencia de distinción entre los espacios destinados a usuarios y funcionarios, pero mantiene las relaciones no directas al conservar la idea del patio central como medio vinculador de programas distintos. Es así como el edificio mantiene la idea de elemento jerárquico dentro de la ciudad, pero elimina las barreras volviéndose amigable con el usuario y su entorno.
