As a final Project, the principle idea was to develop a cultural Park in the “Hacienda San Pedro” in Otavalo, Imbabura- Ecuador. It takes into account a typological exploration of the materials used in the region and the number of tourists that are attracted to the cultural centers in seek of recreation, and preservation of intangible and tangible values of the local culture. The objective is to analyze important aspects of the artisanal products of in the region, especially “telares”- it’s early loom, products, materials, textures etc. Based on this, main concepts are to be applied in the interior design of the spaces considered in the project, as well as consider the idea of promoting a culture management in the region. Moreover, it intends to emphasize studying and analyzing the local landscape elements to establish a link between the interior and exterior areas. Finally, the project provides consideration of idea to link recreation and entertainment areas with the initial concept “telar”, to boost the socio-cultural and socio-economic development of the cultural park and its surroundings.
Como proyecto de fin de carrera, se propone realizar un parque cultural en la Hacienda San Pedro en Otavalo, Imbabura-Ecuador, el mismo se basa en una exploración tipológica de los materiales utilizados en la región y la cantidad de afluencia de turistas que demandan centros culturales de uso permanente que rescaten valores tangibles e intangibles de la cultura. El objetivo es analizar los aspectos importantes de los productos artesanales de la región, principalmente del telar inicios, productos, materiales, texturas, entre otros y partir de estas raíces conceptuales para aplicarlos en el diseño de los espacios interiores de todo el parque cultural, a su vez se trabaja conjuntamente con la idea de promover la gestión cultural de la región. También pretende analizar y estudiar los aspectos paisajísticos del lugar para establecer un vínculo entre el uso espacial interior y exterior. Finalmente, el proyecto brinda áreas de entretenimientos y distracción completamente relacionadas a su concepto inicial, el telar, para activar un desarrollo sociocultural y socio económico del parque y su entorno.
