Description

The present project is developed around the body and the unbreakable relationship with memory. The body is thought as a container of existence and experience that evoke the relationship with the Other. Thus, it is important the transit of the Other thorough our body, generating reflections about tact, contact, and skin making the body a frontier and a passage. The study is divided in the analysis of two stages. The first one, starting from a video installation that pretends to be an instant access to memory, where it is recognized the importance of the instant contended in the image. This way the video dialogues with moving bodies that are also bodies in time. The second stage, a series of paintings as a process of abstraction of the encounter with the Other, it explores moments of the body that are manifested and aim to relate with circumstantial and experience stages that mark the life and memory of the individual. Between those it is found the body mediating existence, the Other, the social Other, its identity and the self.
El presente proyecto se desarrolla entorno al cuerpo y su inquebrantable relación con la memoria. Se piensa en el cuerpo como un contenedor de la existencia y la experiencia, en ellas también se evoca la relación con el Otro. Así, resulta importante el tránsito de este sobre nuestro propio cuerpo, generando reflexiones sobre el tacto, el contacto y la piel haciendo del cuerpo una frontera y pasaje. El estudio se divide en el análisis de dos etapas. La primera, a partir de una obra de video instalación, que pretende ser un acceso inmediato a la memoria, donde se reconoce la importancia del instante contenido en la imagen. De esta manera el video dialoga con cuerpos en movimiento que son también cuerpos en el tiempo. En segunda instancia la pintura como un proceso de abstracción del encuentro con el Otro, explora momentos del cuerpo que se manifiestan y pretenden relacionarse con etapas circunstanciales y experiencias que marcan la vida y memoria del individuo. Entre ellas se encuentra el cuerpo mediando la existencia, el Otro, el Otro social, su identidad y el sí mismo.
