The Project to be developed is a Scientific, Tourist and Educational center, based on the study of nature as an inspiration for design, called Bio mimicry. The project is placed is Mindo, located 1 hour approximately for the northeast of Quito. Mindo is considered the number one place for bird watching in the world and it’s one of the locations with most biodiversity for square meter on earth. Bio mimicry could be considered the sustainable Architecture of the future. That is why scientist even mentions that the answers are in nature and we most observe it in order to find those answers. The centers is planed for receiving scientist and tourists all over the world, offering them lots of comfort, besides places for observation and the study of nature.
El proyecto a desarrollar es un Centro Científico, Turístico y Educativo en Mindo, que busca mimetizar la Arquitectura con la Naturaleza, a través del uso de la Biomimetica. La Arquitectura biomimetica es una ciencia que se dedica a estudiar la naturaleza e inclusive podría ser considerada la arquitectura sustentable del futuro. Científicos alrededor de todo el mundo mencionan que las respuestas están en la naturaleza y por lo tanto deberíamos enfocarnos en buscarlas allí. Mindo es uno de los lugares con más biodiversidad por metro cuadrado y está nominado como el lugar número uno a nivel mundial para la observación de aves. Por este motivo es que con el proyecto de Tesis se busca atraer a científicos y turistas extranjeros, ofreciéndoles confort y un espacio dedicado a la investigación y observación de la Naturaleza.
