Las diferencias entre empresas con fines de lucro y corporaciones o fundaciones sin fines de lucro en el área educativa de la ciudad de Quito, Ecuador

The following article deals with the key differences between foundations that don’t have profit and corporations that do, in the field of education in the city of Quito, Ecuador. The thesis analyses the administrative and legal factors of the institutions, which were important to reach a conclusion that both types of institutions differ from each other. The investigation was directed to different schools in the city, 2 were foundations and 2 were corporations. The purpose of the interviews was to find relevant information to proof the differences found in the theoretical part of the investigation. The first factor investigated was in the legal area, were the way the schools are constituted, the entities that regulates the institution and the type of ownership was taken into account. The second factor investigated was the administrative area that is analysed throughthe internal structure of the school. In this aspect it was also relevant to find the objective of the institution by understanding the “Alma Mater” or soul of the different institutions. Through the research, it was found that out of the 2 factors investigated, 2 maintain relevant differences between the two types of organizations. By reading this paper, it will be possible to know the major differences in the administrative and legal structure in educational institutions in the city of Quito, Ecuador.
La siguiente investigación busca conocer cuáles son las diferencias más importantes entre fundaciones sin fines de lucro y empresas con fines de lucro en el ámbito educativo en la ciudad de Quito, Ecuador. La tesis basó su análisis en administrativo y legal de las instituciones, lo cual fue importante para poder llegar a una conclusión concreta. El trabajo se fundamentó en el estudio de distintos colegios de la ciudad, 2denominados como fundaciones y 2 como empresas. El propósito de las entrevistas era conseguir suficiente información para probar las diferencias encontradas en la parte teórica con colegios específicos de la ciudad de Quito, Ecuador. Analizando el primer factor que se utilizó en la investigación el cual fue el ámbito legal, se enfatizó en la manera que cada colegio está constituido, los entes reguladores de la institución y el tipo de propietarios. De la misma manera, se enfocó la investigación en el ámbito administrativo, donde se mencionará y detallará la estructura administrativa u organigrama de cada tipo de empresa que será analizada. En este aspecto también se buscó conocer el objetivo o fin de la empresa por medio de la presencia del Alma Mater. Otro tema importante fue conocer el clima laboral que se comparte en los dos tipos de empresa, ya sea la empresa con fines de lucro o la fundación sin fines de lucro. Al leer este trabajo se podrá conocer las principales diferencias en cuanto al aspecto legal y administrativo en el ámbito educativo en la ciudad de Quito, Ecuador.
