El objetivo de la presente investigación es determinar la relación entre el Funcionamiento Familiar y la Función Ejecutiva en los alumnos de quinto año de básica de la jornada matutina de la Unidad Educativa “17 de Abril”, perteneciente al cantón Quero, los mismos fueron sometidos a una selección exhaustiva para cumplir con las normativas de la investigación. El Funcionamiento Familiar se enfoca netamente en la manera en como el sistema funciona interviniendo factores tales como: la armonía, la cohesión, la comunicación, la expresión de afecto y la capacidad de adaptabilidad en los cambios que surgen en el sistema. El Cuestionario de Funcionamiento Familiar (FF-SIL) brinda un resultado global, permitiendo obtener los diferentes niveles de Funcionamiento Familias. Por otra parte la Función Ejecutiva es una serie de capacidades que permite concluir, regular y planear la conducta y los procesos cognitivos. El BANFE (Batería Neuropsicológica de Funciones Ejecutivas y Lóbulos Frontales) que evalúa Funciones Ejecutivas. Para el análisis de datos se utilizó el programa estadístico SPSS a través de la Prueba estadística Rho de Spearman encontrándose que no existe relación entre las dos variables de estudio. Sin embargo, se identificó que existe una relación directamente proporcional entre el Funcionamiento Familiar y la subpruebas de Clasificación de Cartas y torre de Hanoi las mismas que evalúan flexibilidad mental y planificación secuencial.
The objective of this research is to determine the relationship between family functioning and the Executive function. Population in this project are students of Fifth Year Basic of the morning session of the Education Unit "April 17", from Quero’s city, they were subjected to an exhaustive selection to meet the standards of research. The Family Functioning focuses purely on how the system works intervening factors such as harmony, cohesion, communication, expression of affection and adaptability capacity in the changes that arise in the system. Family Functioning Questionnaire (FF-SIL) provides an overall result, allowing to obtain different levels of operation families. Moreover, the executive branch is a set of cognitive skills, allowing them ahead and setting goals, designing plans and programs, the start of activities and mental operations, mainly. The BANFE (Neuropsychological Battery of Executive Functions and Frontal Lobes) used to evaluate executive functions. For data analysis SPSS statistical software was used through the Spearman’s rho test finding that there is no relationship between the two variables. However, it was identified that there is a directly proportional relationship between the Familiar Function and the sub-tests of Classification of Letters and tower of Hanoi the same that evaluates mental flexibility and sequential planning
