El objetivo primordial de este trabajo de investigación es determinar cómo incide el liderazgo empresarial en la continuidad de la empresa familiar en el sector de curtiembre de la ciudad de Ambato, en la cual la metodología que se utilizó es de un enfoque cualitativo y una modalidad de investigación de campo y bibliográfica documental, y se utilizó una encuesta de doce preguntas que fueron estructuradas para que sean respondidas por una muestra de 20 personas dueños de empresas familiares, datos que fueron graficados, tabulados, analizados e interpretados con cuidado de tal manera que se identificó como ha causado un gran impacto del liderazgo empresarial para que las empresas familiares tengan continuidad, lo más importante para que se compruebe que el instrumento sea validó se utilizó el método de comprobación Alpha de Crombach. Después de realizar toda la investigación se llegó a conocer que los empresarios manejan empíricamente a sus empresas, más no utilizan un modelo o estrategias que ayuden a profesionalizarla, al mismo tiempo quisieran lograr cumplir los objetivos planteados por la empresa sin importar que tengan que dar premios de recompensa a los empleados para así satisfacer todo su mercado.
The main objective of this research is to determine how business leadership influences the continuity of the family business in the tannery sector of the city of Ambato, in which the methodology used is a quantitative approach and a modality of Field survey and bibliographical documentary, and a questionnaire of twelve questions was used that were structured to be answered by a sample of 20 family business owners, data that were plotted, tabulated, analyzed and interpreted with care in such a way that Identified how it has caused a great impact of business leadership for family companies to have continuity, the most important to verify that the instrument is validated was used the Crombach Alpha test method. After carrying out all the research, it became known that entrepreneurs empirically manage their companies, but do not use a model or strategies that help to professionalize it, at the same time they would like to achieve the objectives set by the company, regardless of whether they have to give prizes rewarding employees to satisfy their entire market.
