El gesto de autodefinir conceptualmente y nombrar, en una lengua originaria como el kichwa, las pr?cticas creativas del campo del arte supera las delimitaciones conceptuales que est?n alrededor del arte ind?gena y que provienen de discursos hegem?nicos que, al ser desenmascarados, evidencian enfoques peyorativos y discriminatorios que se sirven de categor?as como artesan?a, folklor, cultura material, arte na?f, etc. Se trata de situaci?n que se asemeja a cuando, en los a?os ochenta, los kichwas cuestionaron los procesos de blanqueamiento y despersonalizaci?n que les imped?an inscribir, en el Registro Civil del Ecuador, nombres en su lengua materna y ejercer su derecho a existir desde las singularidades de su ser, con sus representaciones y presentaciones. En la actualidad, son m?ltiples los escenarios de negociaciones e intercambios que responden a procesos de autodeterminaci?n de los pueblos y nacionalidades ind?genas; el campo del arte es uno de ellos, pues, al incorporar t?rminos en kichwa como sumakruray (?saber hacer? o ?hacer bien?), en sincr?nica con ?anda ma?achi (?pr?stame el camino?), se complementan c?digos ling??sticos, con pr?cticas creativas y representaciones sustentadas por visiones e interpretaciones propias que posibilitan, a las nuevas generaciones, la valoraci?n de las diversas formas de producci?n creativa y la ampliaci?n de los aprendizajes de la educaci?n art?stica, desde un horizonte intercultural.
The gesture of conceptually self-defining and naming creative practices or the field of art in an original language such as Kichwa overcomes the conceptual delimitations around indigenous art that comes from hegemonic discourse and show pejorative approaches that discriminate it by fitting them as crafts, folklore, material culture, naive art, etc. As in the 1980s, when the Kichwa people questioned processes of whitening and depersonalization on the prohibition of the registration of indigenous names in their mother tongue in the civil registry of Ecuador, and exercise their right to exist from the singularities of their Being with their representations and presentations, at present day there are multiple scenarios of negotiations and exchanges that respond to self-determination processes of indigenous peoples and nationalities, and the field of art is one of them. By incorporating terms in Kichwa such as sumakruray (?knowing how to do? and ?doing well?) in synchronous with ?anda ma?achi (?lend me the path?), linguistic codes are complemented with creative practices and representations supported by their own cosmovision and interpretations, enabling new generations to value the various forms of creative production and expand educational learning in the arts, from an intercultural horizon.
