El presente trabajo de investigación tiene como objetivo describir la seguridad alimentaria y las políticas de autarquía en Ecuador ya que se muestra una gran cantidad de personas que no tienen acceso a los alimentos. El marco teórico muestra aspectos de la seguridad alimentaria y de sus variables como lo son: almacenamiento y distribución, seguridad e higiene, productividad, producción propia, estabilidad política, estabilidad económica, mercado de compra, estabilidad de precios, transferencia de alimentos, estabilidad climática, salud del suelo y seguridad del agua. La investigación es mixta, cualitativa, cuantitativa, y de tipo descriptiva, ya que se intenta describir la seguridad alimentaria en Ecuador. Se realizarán pruebas econométricas con el fin de detectar si existe normalidad, estacionariedad y autocorrelación. La principal conclusión determina que los factores mencionados en la proposición generan un impacto en la seguridad alimentaria debido a que a mayor población existe un aumento de inseguridad alimentaria además de que a mayor PIB aumenta la seguridad alimentaria y a menor inflación mayor será la seguridad alimentaria.
The objective of this research is to describe food security and autarchy policies in Ecuador thank to a large number of people who do not have access to food are shown. The theoretical framework shows aspects of food security and its variables such as: storage and distribution, safety and hygiene, productivity, own production, political stability, economic stability, purchase market, price stability, food transfer, climate stability, and soil health and water safety. The research is mixed, qualitative, quantitative, and descriptive, as it attempts to describe food security in Ecuador. Econometric tests will be performed in order to detect if there is normality, stationarity and autocorrelation. The main conclusion determines that the factors mentioned in the proposal generate an impact on food security because of an increase of population there is an increase in food insecurity in addition to the higher GDP increases food security and the lower inflation the greater the food security
