The album book is a text where images predominate instead of text as in traditional books, being directed especially at children, based on this conception was raised as the purpose of research, to establish the importance of the album book for positive emotional development of children from 3 to 5 years old with teacher involvement. A quantitative approach was used for the execution of the research, which will cover children's behavior against emotional development in numerical ways. The probabilistic sampling technique was not applied since the number of children was a small population of 21 children and 2 teachers; During the development of the research work, a series of reading activities are applied using the album book as a motivational tool for managing children's emotions, addressing situations of daily life where the child faces disgust, sadness, misunderstanding, jealousy, among others. Negative emotions, to collect the information, were applied, the Development Profile questionnaire (DP-3) to the caregivers and the observation was detected with the structured observation sheet to the teachers while carrying out the activities in the classroom. The data obtained will be analyzed by means of descriptive statistics, finding that after the comparison of means for testing the hypotheses the expected differences with a significance greater than 95% (α = 0.015 <0.05) affirming that, the album book As an educational strategy, the management of emotions in children of the Canada Basic General School in the Piedra Grande campus, Echeandía canton, Bolívar province, was improved during the 2019-2020 school year. El libro álbum es un texto donde predominan las imágenes en lugar de texto como en los libros tradicionales, estando dirigidos especialmente a los niños, basado en esta concepción se planteó como propósito de la investigación, establecer la influencia del libro álbum para el desarrollo emocional positivo de los niños de 3 a 5 años con el involucramiento del docente. Para la ejecución de la investigación se empleó un enfoque cuantitativo, que permitió comprender el comportamiento de los niños frente al desarrollo emocional de manera numérica. No se aplicó la técnica del muestreo probabilístico puesto que el número de niños era pequeño población de 21 niños y 2 docentes; durante el desarrollo del trabajo investigativo se aplicaron una serie de actividades de lectura utilizando el libro álbum como herramienta motivacional para el manejo de las emociones de los niños abordando situaciones de la vida diaria donde el niño enfrenta disgusto, tristeza, incomprensión, celos, entre otras emociones negativas, para recaudar la información, se aplicaron, el cuestionario de Perfil de Desarrollo (DP-3) a los cuidadores y se utilizó la observación con la ficha de observación estructurada a los docentes mientras realizaban las actividades en el aula de clases. Los datos obtenidos se analizaron por medio de la estadística descriptiva encontrando que posterior a la comparación de medias para la comprobación de la hipótesis las diferencias esperadas tenían una significancia superior al 95% (α=0,015<0,05) afirmando que, el libro álbum como estrategia educativa mejoró el manejo de las emociones en los niños de la Escuela General Básica Canadá en el recinto Piedra Grande, cantón Echeandía, provincia Bolívar, durante el año lectivo 2019-2020.
