The purpose of designing this “Project in the Center of the City” is to integrate San Juan’s habitants doing a series of activities and positive purposes for the entire community. The project consists on designing two volumes that integrate all these different activities by opening its “arms” to the city and the communities nearby. It includes and collaborates with activities such as a Medic Center, Nursery Center, a series of workshops, a gallery, a cafeteria, a small police station and a recreational space with the football field. When we talk about Community, we talk about “integration”. Actually, a human being is not seen as a lineal person, but it is as integral, where soul, body and mind fusion and it is not an “individual” as before.
Mi proyecto de tesis consiste en desarrollar un Centro Comunitario que acoja a los habitantes de este sector, logrando así, que estos obtengan un lugar de esparcimiento y unión barrial. Ya que actualmente, se ha convertido en un sector peligroso, y lo que se lograría es que vuelve a hacer lo que alguna vez fue, y además de ser un centro de “unión comunitaria”, sería un lugar que combate la delincuencia, da servicios básicos de salud y bienestar social. Cuando hablamos de comunidad, hablamos de integración. Es decir, el hombre actualmente, ya no se lo ve como un ser lineal, sino que hoy en día se lo ve como un ser integral, donde alma, cuerpo y mente se fusiona, y no funcionan como entes individuales.
