Pelota Nacional is a game practiced in the Ecuadorian provinces of Carchi, Pichincha, Imbabura, Tungurahua and Bolívar. This traditional game, which originated from the north of Ecuador, is part of its popular culture therefore part of Ecuadorian identity. With the goal of promoting the game “Pelota Nacional” two campaigns have been developed in this thesis. The first campaign of this work promotes the diffusion and knowledge of the game Pelota Nacional through promotional and expectative posters located in the north of Quito. The second campaign presents the innovation of the racket used to play Pelota Nacional. The objective of these campaigns are to incentivize new generations to practice this national sport and promote it with the existence of modern, technologically advanced and attractive equipment for national and international audiences.
La Pelota Nacional es un juego practicado en las provincias de Carchi, Pichincha, Imbabura, Tungurahua y Bolívar. Esta actividad tradicional del norte del país es parte de la cultura popular del Ecuador y por lo tanto, de la identidad ecuatoriana. Con el objetivo de promover el juego de Pelota Nacional, se han elaborado dos campañas. La primera, se enfoca en la difusión y conocimiento de la Pelota Nacional mediante afiches de expectativa y promocionales ubicados en el norte de Quito. La segunda, consiste en la innovación de la raqueta que se utiliza para este juego con el objetivo de incentivar a nuevas generaciones a practicar este deporte nacional y promocionarlo con la existencia de un nuevo equipo moderno, tecnológico y atractivo para el público nacional e internacional.
